Bioinformatics Core Services

Who are we ?
At the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Core (BCBC) we specialize in multi-omics and next-generation sequencing data analysis derived from genetics, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and microbiome studies, with additional expertise in single-cell technologies and AI/ML applications in bioinformatics. The Core further advances bioinformatics literacy through education, supports grant writing and manuscripts, and continuously evaluates cutting-edge technologies. With access to high performance computing resources, we provide comprehensive analysis of complex datasets, facilitate research collaborations, and drive scientific discovery. By integrating deep computational knowledge with biological insights, we facilitate leading edge research and drive scientific discovery across diverse fields of life sciences.
What core services do we offer?
Experimental design
Next-generation sequencing analysis (transcriptomics, ChIP-seq, DNA methylation, etc.)
Multi-omics integration and data analysis
Single-cell transcriptomics
AI/ML applications
Microbiome studies
High-performance computing
Why collaborate with us?
Our training and experience in bioinformatics and computational analysis allows us to identify and address challenges related to statistical testing and interpretation of results that may not be readily apparent to investigators. We bring a data-centric view to the results of a study, as opposed to a hypothesis-driven view, resulting in novel discoveries. Beyond the application of relevant analytic techniques, we guide investigators throughout the whole process, including an interpretation of the results. As collaborators, we are committed to providing our investigators with the highest possible quality of data analysis, produced with cutting-edge and rigorously tested methods, that are ready for inclusion into manuscripts and grant applications.
Our process
Consultation
All bioinformatics core services begin with a complimentary consultation. During this meeting, we outline our available services, provide guidance on experimental design, and address any questions you may have.
Data Analysis
After the initial consultation, we will craft a tailored blueprint detailing the analysis strategy. This includes the required services, workflows, expected results and reports, and any additional support, such as manuscript review, grant assistance, or help with submitting data to public repositories.
Results sharing and follow-up Meeting
Once the data analysis is complete, we send a Powerpoint summary of the key findings to our investigators. Details of the analysis are separately shared through OneDrive or similar online repositories. Following the delivery of results, the investigator has the option to set up a meeting with us to discuss the results and answer any follow-up questions.
Request a Consultation
To request a consultation, please fill the contact us request form by clicking on the link below. Please remember to include key experimental details in the message section of the form, such as data type (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, metabolomics, etc.), desired analysis (differential expression analysis, pathway analysis, variant calling, etc.), species, the expected number of samples, and the timeline for sample submission.
